LiDAR Sensors & AI Perception
From 128-beam mechanical LiDAR for L4 autonomous driving to compact solid-state sensors for robotics — backed by the #1 global LiDAR market leader.

What Is LiDAR?
LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) measures distance by illuminating a target with laser light and analyzing the reflected return. By scanning thousands of laser pulses per second across the environment, LiDAR sensors create dense 3D point clouds that give autonomous systems a precise, real-time understanding of their surroundings — day or night, in rain, fog, and dust.

Applications
L4 Autonomous Vehicles
RoboSense LiDAR sensors are deployed on autonomous vehicle fleets worldwide. The RS-Ruby Plus delivers 240 m detection range with 128-beam coverage, providing the dense 3D point clouds that perception algorithms need for safe L4 operation in complex urban environments.

Core Technology
RoboSense develops their own LiDAR chip technology in-house, including SPAD receivers and VCSEL emitters. This vertical integration delivers sensors with industry-leading performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Proprietary SPAD-SoC chip technology with 2D VCSEL arrays for higher sensitivity, longer range, and better interference rejection than analog systems.
Advanced signal processing handles rain, fog, dust, and high-reflection blooming — maintaining reliable detection in real-world conditions.
RS-LiDAR-Perception software provides real-time 3D object detection, classification, and tracking directly from raw point cloud data on edge computing platforms.
